Advances in Technology and Vaser Lipo

As technology continues to advance, cosmetic surgery is becoming more and more popular. Surgeons are using new techniques and technologies to make procedures safer and more effective than ever before. The recent boom in cosmetic surgery has seen a huge increase in the number of patients undergoing liposuction, mainly thanks to the new Vaser Lipo from mya.co.uk.

Liposuction is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the UK, on account of it being quick and non-invasive. Liposuction isn't really a procedure for weight-loss; it works best when somebody has already shed the weight they wanted to lose, but still has stubborn areas of fat that won't budge, normally on the thighs or tummy. The new, more technologically advanced procedure, Vaser Lipo, is similar to liposuction but produces better, smoother results.

How Does Vaser Lipo Work?

Vaser Lipo works by directing high frequency ultrasound at the fat cells, gently breaking them up without damaging blood vessels or other tissues. This leaves small groups of fat cells floating in the local anaesthetic solution, which can then be removed using a very thin tube and as it is a fluid, the surgeon can use a lower suction level. With Vaser Lip, there is less bruising and swelling that with traditional liposuction procedures, plus the risk of complications is lower.

Endoscopic Surgery

There have also been huge advances in breast augmentation, with new techniques like Endoscopic surgery meaning procedures are safer and have a quicker healing time. With endoscopic surgery, a thin tube with a camera is inserted into the breast, which feeds back to a large screen, so the surgeon can see exactly what is going on inside.

Choose A Well-Established Company

While surgeons in the UK are making good use of the advances in technology, cheaper companies abroad are not. It might be cheaper abroad, but it won't be as safe or effective. It's more important than ever to choose a well-established, trusted cosmetic surgery company. With surgery there's always a small risk of complications, but this risk is significantly lowered when you choose a good surgeon who is up to date with all the latest technology. If something does go wrong during or after the procedure and you aren't based in the same country as the cosmetic surgery company you used, it will be infinitely more difficult and stressful to sort out the problem.
