Welcome to Epigee! This site exists as an educational resource for women, especially those wanting to know more about pregnancy symptoms, STDs, and birth control methods, or those who have questions about their menstruation or who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. Since 2001, over 1.5 million visitors have come to this site for information about pregnancy, pregnancy health, pregnancy centers, fetal development, reproductive health, fitness and overall health, mental health, and pregnancy options. Epigee Pregnancy Resource has connected thousands of women with online crisis pregnancy counselors, and directed many more to local pregnancy centers and clinics.

Author Credits

This site was originally developed by M.T. Williams, Ph.D. Dr. Williams has been interested in women's health issues for over 15 years. She has been actively involved in the work of many non-profit health agencies,

 including pregnancy clinics, mental health organizations, and women's centers. She has written articles about reproductive issues, mental health, and racal disparities. Dr. Williams has lectured on teen pregnancy and related issues and has been active in helping non-profit organizations develop a web presence.

Dr. Williams graduated from MIT in 1992 and holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia, where she conducted research in anxiety disorders. She is currently a professor in the psychiatry department of a major medical school, where she treats patients with anxiety disorders. She also serves as an expert consultant to the Epigee.org site.
