I have always been a relatively positive person, usually looking forward to my life. I am now 49 (tomorrow), in perimenopause, one year away from an empty nest, a recent career layoff (after 22 years) and a new relationship with a wonderful man (less than a year)...when these mood swings bring me down (which is about 1/3 of the month....I find I really want to bail on the relationship. I don't feel whole, healthy or worthy of a relationship.
I am exercising regularly, taking Bcomplex, estrogen cream, off alcohol (no fun), off caffeine, off chocolate, seeing an accupuncturist, eating ok (could be healthier).
Other ideas on how to deal with the challenge of severe mood swings and wanting to bail on the relationship due to my moods?
Thank you and happy mother's day to all tomorrow!
