im wondering if i may have slight post natal depression or just normal depression, i know i have one. i dont not want to be with my baby and i enjoy looking after her and being with her. but i do get very sad and am very snappy towards my partner and when she cries and gets really stressed i get really stressed because i dont know what to do and usually cry with her.

Are you a first time mom? Coz you just sound overwhelmed! This is normal coz a new baby is a big change. Your carefree days are gone and suddenly your responsible for a new life. Babies also need lots of attention so you might feel put out that you have to cater to her every whim and cry. This will pass in time as you get used to routines.

PND is actually common. This is probably because of low hormone levels in the system following childbirth. There are lots of ways to manage this. Feeling low and irritable is common. So is being unable to enjoy stuff that you normally do. It is treated with therapy and in some rare cases anti-depressant meds.

Feel better!
