ive been thinking about getting my belly button pierced for my birthday next year.
But I have some concerns like, how long will the pain last and whether or not the piercing will heal when i take it off. How long does it heal?

I had a belly button piercing and it took around 8-12 weeks to fully heal. To be safe from allergies, ask the piercer to put on a hypoallergenic ring. It can be quite painful and uncomfortable at first. But the pain fades with some aspirin. I took off mine for a week, but the piercing was still there when I wore it again.

i only got both ears pierced and it took a month to heal. pain was manageable. however, belly button piercings are different, so I dunno if my info can help you.

pain wont last long, plus there are pain killers. its gonna be uncomfortable for about a week. some people's piercings heal when the ring is taken off for too long. i think belly button rings take around 3-6 months to fully heal...

i have three piercings in my ears, one on my belly button. I considered a christina but Im not ready for it, so I got a tongue piercing instead. Tongue piercings hurt like h*ll! and took almost 6 months to fully heal!

I take off everything when I am at work =)

both my ears are pierced but that's it. Several girl friends have navel piercings and they told me they were painful at first but nothing that cant be managed.
