If you mean having to go through a load of issues emotionally or psychologically while at a certain age - usually between 40 to 60 years old - I think, it's not just men who undergo through such "crisis" but so do women. |

Midlife crisis does affect women. Studies have shown that change and ageing usually trigger midlife crisis. Examples are: children leaving the home, menopause and retirement. |

yeah, ever hear of the "empty nest" syndrome! this can trigger midlife crisis in women. they can get depressed or start to behave strangely by trying to bring back their "youth". |

My mom went through this when all of us moved out...right before she started her menopause. It was a confusing time for her and she wanted to feel young again. I guess she was lonely too. It was diagnosed by a doctor and she had to undergo some sort of therapy and enrol in several classes to help her cope with the changes in her life. |
