my roomie is an insomniac. there are days wherein she only gets a few hours of sleep at best. when she really needs to sleep for a longer period, she takes sleeping meds to help her. i was wondering if there are natural alternatives to the prescribed sleeping pills?

there are alternative herbal medicine available to help her sleep. there are also teas with chamomile and lavender that can be drank to help your roomie sleep better.

a very good and rough work out will tire the body naturally. the body will need its rest to reboot. so try this and see if it works.

i tried an herbal sleeping pill. very effective. it was made from natural materials, i forgot the name though.

a glass or two of red wine should help her unwind and a bit tipsy... always works for me before I got preggers, though I do not suffer from insomnia. it doesnt hurt to try though.

has she consulted a professional about her problem... lack of sleep can be very bad for the body and brain!
