I slipped and hit my head pretty hard last week but not hard enough to have a concussion. Anyways, they cleared me but I want to have a CAT scan to be sure. My insurance policy does not cover it. Is there a way to get free or discounted CAT scan?

I dont think there is. My ultrasound is also not covered by Insurance. I guess its just something we have to bear personally.

this is why its important to read your coverage. Actually, there are lots of procedures that is not included. But to be sure, important and costly services like MRI and CAT scan should be included in insurance policies.

Maybe you can ask your employer for a reimbursement.

If its not in the contract, the employer wont reimburse.
