Wine is said to have lots of antioxidants in it. More concentration of antioxidants in red wine over white. This helps fight heart disease and cancer.
Beer also is similar to wine in that it contains antioxidants. So the health benefits are the same. It also is good for blood circulation.
As for other drinks such as whiskey and rhum, I don't know if they have health benefits. Perhaps they do. But also take in consideration that any liquor should be taken in moderation. Too much of it and there goes your health benefit down the drain. Cheers!
Most alcholic beverages contain a good dose of antioxidants, including dark liquor like whiskey. So moderate drinking, ie a shot a day or a glass of wine during diner is acceptable. Getting sloshed is not!
