how many days before I get a check-up for my fever?

After or on the 3rd day go to see a doctor already. That's too long for an adult to have a fever. A normal one. Especially when your body temperature is not going down, or radically goind up and down, there might be awfully something wrong with you that's causing the fever.

I agree ask for a complete blood work out or a CBC so that they can determine if you have a bad infection. In the meantime, some paracetamol or
Tylenol/Advil should help with the aches and pains :)

get yourself checked even if its on and off. A fever can be the symptom of something else.
