I think this is because women live longer than men, statistically. Remember that Alzheimer's is age related. |

It affects men and women alike but yeah, i think more women because we have longer lifespan |

Alzheimer's is age related. You lose some of your memory as you get older. With Alzheimer's it is even more pronounced and some patients completely forget everything and everybody even family. |

Its sad. My brother-in-law's dad had Alzheimers and we saw a man become a shell of his former self right before our eyes. He was so cheerful before he had Alzheimer's but he could not remember his family before he died... so it was very sad for his family to watch their father slowly forget them :( |
