What's the difference b/w viral infection and STD? Is there a difference?

Yeah, lots of diseases are caused by viruses, but they are not necessarily because of a sexual act. Colds can be a viral infection but you don't get it from not wearing a condom! :)

haha! yeah with all the medical jargon it can be confusing! so a cold is definitely a viral infection and not an STD then! LOL

ahahaha! Yeah! Also, maybe because it manifests in the genital area, thats when its STD.
