I AM MARRIED AND RECENTLY HAD SOME LABS DONE THAT CAME BACK POSITIVE FOR HERPES. DESPITE BEING TOGEHER 9 YEARS, HE HAS CHEATED 5 YEARS AGO. I HAD NO REASON TO DOUBT THAT UNTIL RECENTLY EVEN THOUGH HE SWEARS IT IS NOT POSSIBLE. THE DOCTOR STATED I MAY HAVE HAD IT FOR YEARS WITHOUT KNOWING YET THE LABS SHOW IGM AND THAT SEEMS TO MEAN RECENT EXPOSURE. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE, WHETHER TO REDO MT LAB WORK OR WHAT. MY VAGINA FELF WILL SWOLLEN AND ALOT OF DISCOMFORT LIKE I HAD A YEAST INFECTION. CAN YOU CATCH IT BY DRINKING AFTER SOMEONE THEN HAVING ORAL SEX OR IS JUST TRANSMITTED BY SEX? MOTHER OF 6 CONTMPLATING DIVORCE, TRUST AND RESPECT.

Is it possible, yes it is. Is it likely, no, no its not. Most people get Herpes from sex.

Its possible for a healthy person who is seldom ill to have herpes and not show signs of it for years. This is because their immune system is very strong and can hold it at bay. Its not possible for a sickly person, or a person who can easily catch colds and flu's to ward off an outbreak for five years. Their immune system is not up to it. So you have to ask yourself how healthy you are in general.

Do you perform Oral on your husband? Its important to get good close looks at your partners crotch. It gives you the chance to discover important warning signs. The last several times you looked at it, did he have any odd marks or rashes, Discolorations?
