What is the name of this bacteria that can enter the vagina to cause PID.

You have to understand that when you go to the doctor and pay him $130 dollars for a consultation. You generally get pissed off if he tells you something you all ready knew. For instance going in because you have a vaginal infection and the doctor telling you that he discovered that what's bothering you is a vaginal infection. That never really sits well. However doctors discovered that using strange words, often in a foreign language often works great in those sorts of situations. For instance having a vaginal infection and being told you are suffering from acute Vaginosis. Which is only Latin for "Bad Vaginal problem"

Why did I just tell you all that? Because PID or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is the exact same idea. Its a generic, means nothing term, for "you have a serious infection in your uterus". There is no specific bacteria that can cause it. Any bacteria will work. That being said, Gonorrhea tends to be one of the common causes, but since most women tend to ignore Vaginal infections for weeks, its possible for any bacterial infection to grow into a case of PID.
