pregnant women often excuse their craving for more munchies as "eating for two". but we know that overeating pregnant or not can be bad. what constitutes a healthy pregnant diet?

a balanced diet just like normal unpregnant women will do. just remember to lay off the salt and the sweets to avoid bloating and gaining too much weight.

pregnant women should eat foods with lots of calcium for bone development and iron as well as folic acid for baby's brain development. eat sensibly and not eat for two!

the healthy weight gain for pregnant women is 1-2 pounds per month... over eating can harm your baby by making him fatter and this will make it hareder for you to push him out when the time comes.

healthy pregnant diet consists of foods rich in vitamins like veggies and fruits, protein like meat and carbs like rice and pasta. the key word here is balanced. no need to "eat for two" as your baby does not really eat...hahaha!
