is there any way of increasing the chances of conceiving a baby boy instead of a girl?

I found this tidbit on the internet:

"Girl sperm are larger and slower swimmers than boy sperm. But they also survive longer than the boys that wear themselves out early. Therefore if you have sex early in your cycle when the egg has not yet made it down the fallopian tube. The boys race ahead then die off leaving the girls (who are slower) to swim longer and find the egg first. By having sex late in your cycle (ie closer to ovulation) the egg has moved closer to the uterus and the quick boy sperm find the egg first"

remember that the sperm can live in the womb for about two days, so chalk up your periods to make your predictions more accurate...

if all else fail...try and try again!!!! LOL

guess it is still 50-50 then even with the boys being faster coz the girls live longer!

I agree, it is still up to chance! You can try to help chance a bit but in the end the best sperm will win!
