Can a c-section be optional if you don't want to go into labor? Like, choose a due date and have a c-section instead of waiting for the onset of labor to have the baby delivered?

Yes, some mothers perfer to have elective c-sections. This is also better for moms who have had difficult deliveries or have health problems.

I think the celebs also opt for this one...so as not to disturb red carpet events, etc.... hehe :)

If you are having multiple birth you can opt to schedule your c section

convenient maybe, but it takes more time to heal than normal birth

Yes, for a normal birth, your stithces are Ok after 6 weeks, but for a cesarean section it still hurts after 2 months!
