Is it normal to miss periods for at least three months while going through menopause?

I am going through menopause and have a high sex drive, is this normal?

The whole point of menopause is missing periods.
Your ovaries are running out of eggs that are viable and ovulation becomes really rare, until your last period, then you'll miss every period after that ;) get it!
But count yourself lucky- lack of sexual drive is usually a common complaint for post menopausal women. You're losing your female hormones progesterone and estrogen, but with age you will also have less testosterone production too (and this is the hormone commonly accepted as responsible for both male and female sex drive).
So enjoy your uncommonly high testosterone whilst it lasts.

Yes, it is normal to miss period for up to 3 months as menopause approaches. In fact this irregularity of cycles is one of the key symptoms of the period just before menopause. This period that usually starts about the early or mid 40s in most women is not menopause but perimenopause.

High sexual drive? Is this a one month issue or has been since the perimenopausal symptoms set in? Remember that perimenopause may take about 3 to 7 years. High sexual drive may still be normal in perimenopause. It usually drops after menopause( no menses for atleast 12 months). There is nothing wrong with your body! You are just moving from one phase to another.
