my mom and i both have very painful cramps. the same is true with my aunt and her daughters. i was wondering if menstrual cramps were hereditary or genetic?

i get really bad cramps too, think it may be dysmennorhea, as it's associated with other symptoms like vomiting and fainting etc. My mum and sis don't get bad cramps but all the females on my dad's side of the family have a similar problem to me, so i'm thinking it could be some sort of recessive/dominant hereditary condition...?
