Frequently Missing Periods

Is it OK if you frequently miss periods? For example a missed period every couple of months? Is this a cause for concern if the woman is in her early 20's and looking to start a family.

In teens this is quite common. But for older women, it can be harder to conceive since periods are irregular. there are ways to make it regular so visit the doctor to find out how to do this.

This warrants a visit to the doctor in my opinion anyways. Anything normal should be up for consultation especially if you want a family soon.

if you recently started your period for the first time then it would be no cause for concern. periods usually normalize during the early 20's but just to make sure, try to visit your doctor the soonest possible time.

PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) make an appointment with a good OBGYN
and ask about PCOS.

Check your weight before you think of anything more complicated. If your BMI is below 20, that's likely the cause.
