Symptothermal Method After Birthcontrol

I have been on various birthcontrol pills since I was 16. I am now 27 and in a happy healthy long term relationship and no longer want to be on hormonal birthcontrol because of what it does to my body (low sex drive, depression, anxiety, dryness, hairloss etc.)

I have decided to use a combination of the Symptothermal method (tempurature and discharge observation) with condoms/spermicide during my fertile times.

My question is, how long will it take for my body and hormone levels to normalize after being on the pil for so many years? When will my cycle be back to normal and when can I trust my bodies indicators?

There really isn't a way to be sure when your body and hormones will return to normal- could be anywhere from a few months to years. I would hope only about 2-3mos though.
I'm also planning to quit the pill(because of same side effects) and use charting and condoms. I plan to use condoms the whole time for a few months, until I feel like my body is back to its natural rhythm.
