legal age for birth control

I was just wondering if there is a legal age to get prescription or buy birth control pills or other forms?

I would think as soon as you are sexually active, the sooner you practice the concept of birth control or safe sex.

From what I remember, I don't think there is a legal age to be able to take them or buy it off the counter. Just ask your physician to prescribe for you. There are however some pills that requires you to be at least 17 years old, such as the "morning after pill."

No legal age for this in my country.

Most birth control pills and other forms of contraceptives like condoms and spermicides are over the counter medication. but for birth control pills it would be better if you asked for a prescription from your gynecologist.

it is embarassing some time to ask for this over the counter especialy on young teens. i know i am embarrassed that time when i buy my first pills:)

Most health clinics can provide prescription after a brief chat and check-up. No age requirement.

Birth Control Pills are over the counter meds and contain hormones and women have different reactions to them. It would be better to go to a doctor for a prescription rather than selecting a brand over the counter.
