My mom is complaining that her vision is getting blury. I told her it was her age and she says its cataracts. How do I know its cataract?

Maybe this list of symptoms that i found can help your mom:

blurred vision, difficulty with glare (often with bright sun or automobile headlights while driving at night), dulled color vision, increased nearsightedness accompanied by frequent changes in eyeglass prescription, and occasionally double vision in one eye

In some very severe cases, the pupil is covered with what looks like a white substance...

this can be removed through surgery, so you have nothing to worry about.
