When is HIV classified as AIDS? What are the stages of HIV?

There are 4 stages:

Primary stage - where symptoms like tiredness and feeling sick all the time start to manifest

Clinically Asymptomatic Stage - no symptoms during this time, could take up to 10 years or so

Symptomatic HIV Infection - this is the patient gets really sick again as the immune system is overworked already

Progression from HIV to AIDS - the patient is now at risk for diseases like TB, Pneumonia and other oportunistic diseases and cancers arise

magic johnson has had HIV for what 10? 15 years already? so yeah, its slow!
