What is the difference between sombody who is called infertile and somebody who cannot conceive... arent they the same?

FShawna85

Hello Candygurl!

Being infertile and the inability to conceive mean the same thing although the term "conceive" is more of a female reference.

Infertility is the general term. Infertility is being NOT capable of producing an offspring. A woman can't conceive, while a man can't impregnate.

Infertile is when somebody is sterile or barren but when somebody cannot conceive, it means they can't have a baby even if they have what it takes to make one...

GayeGail

They sound the same to me.

sarah_G

So they are the same coz infertile females wont be able to conceive!
