menstrual blood is not dirty. its just like any other blood that you can find in your body, it is just darker because unlike the blood in your veins, it does not flow as easily. menstrual blood is also darker because it contains the lining of your uterus. |

the stench comes from when the blood is exposed to oxygen. just like urine menstrual blood has no smell but when it comes to contact with oxygen and bacteria it begins to stink. |
