what are some of the reasons why women bleed after sex but they dont have their periods?

There is no wound around or in the vaginal area? Could be caused by a number of reasons like common sexually transmitted diseases such as,

i. Gonorrhea,
ii. yeast infection,
iii. chlamydia.

Uterine fibroid tumors though benign may cause the bleeding too.

Nobody should take this seriously. If you're bleeding after sex and happens more than once, it's time you see professional help.
