I've been taking the birth control pill for about 4 months and it's been about 4 or 5 days since I quit taking it. Now it looks like I have started my period and it's about 14 days early. I'm worried I may be pregnant but I haven't missed any of my periods--they have all been on time and didn't seem any different than usual...but the period I'm having now seems to be light?

I've also taken a pregnancy test I bought from the store and it came back negative. I doubt I'm pregnant but I still worry when something like an early period comes up.

Did you quit your birth control mid-cycle? It sounds like your hormones are a little out of whack. The good news is that the presence of a period probably means that you aren't pregnant. Just make sure you are still using some alternate birth control. Since your cycle is off, you could ovulate at any time, even if you are still bleeding.

Mid-cycle? If you mean stopping in the middle of a pack then that's what I did. Thank you.
