how often does a diaphragm need to be changed? are there different sizes?

I believe its two years but you have to check for leaks frequently so that its effectivity wont be compromised.

there are different types of diaphragms made from different sort of materials. the latex kind lasts a long time so long as its cared for and checked for holes every now and then.

but my advice for this method is to use it with a spermicide or another type of contraceptive.

yes, there are charges and some diaphragms can be changed every two years.
