condoms and the pill are very good examples.

I've always been frugal so its price for me. Condoms are relatively cheap. Diaphragms and femcaps are reusable so they are economical too.

So choose something that suits your personality too :)

their suggestions are sound. i would like to add that you also need to ask our partner what sort of method he prefers.

i always go for what's simple... that's why I favor condoms

if you have lots of partners then condoms are better. if you are monogamous, then something you and your partner are comfortable with?

Go for something that is proven and effective, used by a lot of people/couples. Pill and/or condom are a good start. Good Luck!
