I was told by one OBGYN that she didn't feel comfortable suggesting an IUD for a woman who's never had children (me). Is anyone familiar with this reasoning? and if so, what it is?
Also, if you have an IUD, what do you think? what's the worst part about it? What made you decide to do it?

I don't know about the OBGYN question i have a IUD i've had it for almost 6 yrs. I got it cause i really didn't want anymore kids for a long while i like that i don't have to worry about forgetting about taking my birth control.. The thing that i don't like about it is that i've gained a lot of weight since i got it & my sex drive has really deteriorated i don't know if the weight gain has anything to do with me not having a period since i got the IUD once i have this removed i'm going to look into a different type of birth control i've also experienced depression & my husband can feel it during intercourse & sometimes it gets painful for me to during intercourse cause it feels like it's sticking me .. so yeah ask a lot more questions before u decide on which birth control is better for u...i guess i just put up with these effects cause i wasn't getting pregnant..
