Reccomend a bc method, please!

So . . . I'm a virgin . . . shopping around for birth control for the first time.  I'm not interested in ever having biological kids, so I'd opt for tubal ligation if I could afford it.  In the mean time however, I'd like to find something affordable and effective that won't kill my libido, make me attracted to the wrong men, or any of the other scary side effects that I've heard hormonal methods can have.  Unrealistic?
