This may be a bit of a long story, but I really need some help..
February 2005 I was having abdomen problems, it turned out I had 2 large grapefruit-sized cysts on my ovaries. I was already on birth control 10 months prior to this, a low-dose 21 day pill. For me to rid of the cysts, my GYN had me skip the 4th week, so I wouldn't bleed. As bleeding was making the cysts grow. After 6 weeks, the cysts were gone so she told me to go back to my 21 days. I have never done anything so stupid in my life before, but instead of going back to 21 days, I continued to skip the week off. For 4 extra months I didn't get my period (6 months of me inducing no-period).
I told a friend and she told me to stop doing that, immediately. So I did. Since then I haven't been bleeding. It's been this black, sometimes brown, goop. Maybe for a day I will bleed VERY lightly. For nearly a year now it's been this black goop stuff, and I haven't thought anything of it..
Tonight I decided to look into it a bit, and a woman's medical site said something about it meaning that I had stopped ovulating. I am young still, and want children in my future, I am very scared about this now. Has anyone ever encountered anything like this? Is it repairable? I'm making an appointment first thing tomorrow, but I'm hoping for some fast answers, as it takes a while to get into the doctor.. Please help.
