HIV

My friend thinks he may be HIV positive. his partner ended up with the disease, and may have infected him too! He's at his wits end and doesn't know what to do. I was just wondering if anyone knew how they treat HIV - I heard there are a whole bunch of chemical cocktails they make you take to prevent your body from succumbing too soon. Any info would be fab.
